Frequently
Asked
Questions

We’ve put together these FAQs for Turquoise Creative as a useful tool to help you in your decision-making.

With branding, it’s essential to get things right. Why? Because in our view, that old saying is on the money: you only get one chance to make a first impression.

We’re based in Sussex, so we mainly support the needs of organisations throughout East and West Sussex. However, Kent isn’t far to go, and neither is Surrey. In theory, we can work throughout the UK, but we do like the local, personal touch.

Our founder and Creative Director, Steve Oakes has over 25 years’ experience in brand design and advertising. He’s worked with major brands, bringing corporates large and small to life with striking colours, images, styles and fonts to communicate with target markets on an international basis.

Because in a nutshell, your brand is your ambassador. It quite literally represents you on the world stage. Or rather, the stage that is the internet, a trade show, customer meetings, marketing campaigns and so on.

It appeals to, and represents what your operation is about to your customers, and to those who’ve not yet bought from you. Done well, branding can grow your business, increasing turnover and profits through making sure that your company, and yours alone is the go-to – whatever you do.

Is branding complex? Yes. Can it be intricate? Yes, most likely.

Consider this as a reason not to DIY:

Turquoise Creative delivers a third-party perspective, with added creative and technical expertise, plus over 25 years’ commercial experience in branding. Plus, additional know-how in content writing, SEO, and web development. Likewise, we recognise the value of partnerships and a long-term working relationships. Importantly, we’ll offer fresh eyes on your business, helping to clarify what it stands for, its values with an in-depth understanding of how to create the best possible “look and feel”.

It’s quite a list. Maybe add us to your To Do list.

The short answer is: across several media and channels, including:

  • Websites
  • Direct marketing
  • Literature design – brochures, flyers, and leaflets
  • Point of sale
  • Exhibition design – including build and construction. Also banners, stands and signage
  • Advertising, including electronic boards

We’re also seeing the bigger picture, with brand strategy and brand identity design, as well as branding guidelines.

Nearly all businesses have some sort of web presence these days. It’s fair to say that your website is your primary online presence. Therefore, it must represent your values, and do so in the six short seconds it takes to make an impact on the internet.

Branding can create trust and confidence in what you, and at all times you should be building good faith in what you do and how you do it.

Best-in-class fonts, colours and styling complete your online impression.

As you would expect, there’s no one-size-fits-all to this important question – sorry, about that. Our services are bespoke, so it’s best to contact us to find out more. Bear the following in mind, however. A short survey, then:

  • Do you think that your prospects are likely to buy your products and services based on how they perceive your company?
  • Do you believe that your customers have to TRUST in what you offer in order to want to invest in you?
  • Are word-of-mouth referrals important in your business development?

In our experience, if you answered “yes” to the above, it’s time for you to put some money into your branding.

No. And again, no.

Logos can be a significant part of your branding, that much is true. Then again, they don’t tell the complete story about your company. And, if your logo isn’t quite up to the mark (however we may define that)), it could give the wrong impression entirely.

In our experience, it’s not possible for a single, one-off logo to set expectations in your customers’ minds about your levels of service, your market positioning, how you stay relevant in your sector, and much else besides. A logo can start to do these things but, like most of us generally, it can’t do everything.

Still have a question?

If you see something you’re not sure about, don’t sit and wonder. Equally, if you have a burning question about our services, or how we work, don’t hesitate: feel free to get in touch. We’re happy to help.

What do we do with your data?

We will use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you emails you don’t want. You can read more about this in our Privacy Policy.
